Taman Ujung at Karang Asem, Bali

Karang Asem isn't famous area rather than Kuta, Seminyak etc. This district located in east side of Bali Island near Amed beach. Karangasem is suitable for tourist who seek for quite place to live. Despite, Karangasem have tons of beautiful place that missed to be pass.

Taman Ujung is located in the village of Seraya in Karangasem regency. Lucky, I was stay at Shangrila Beach Club in Candidasa which have beach view behind the hotel. It takes about 20 minute from hotel. Candidasa is a quiet coastal town, also gateway to the east coast. 


Fyi, Taman Ujung is a relic history of Karang Asem Palace. Fee to enter Taman Ujung is around IDR10.000 / person. From the outside, you can see this remarkable park . After step into inside, I was realize the size of the park is sooo huge. The complex consists of various large ponds and historic structures set against a backdrop of Mount Agung and the eastern shoreline. It consist three large ponds connected by long bridges and pathways, also has a combination of European and Balinese architecture.






Taman Ujung was a perfect location to enjoy the park with family and friends. You can sit in  grass since it’s allowed and lot of people do that also enjoy the weather with beloved one. The physical features and superb mountainous backdrop to its north, and sea to its southwest, make it a favourite location for artistic photographers and pre-wedding. When I was in there, 2 couples are doing pre-wedding photoshoot. Surprisingly, one couple is foreigners from China. You can get a great photo, because every corner of this park is instragamable and well maintained.
